We need to exercise every day to maintain a fit body, a healthy appetite and get great sleep. Not only that, but if we exercise we have a much higher level of energy throughout the day and we develop a sense of discipline which exercises not only the body but your character as well. Trust me, it is very easy to quit. It’s the days you don’t want to workout and you muscle yourself to do it anyway that count. And the more you do it, the easier it will be to maintain, just like everything else.
Martial arts are a great way to address these workout habits, partially because for the majority of the exercises you don’t need any equipment. All you need is a floor. They also provide insight into self-defence techniques and into the fascinating history of martial arts, making it not only beneficial for the body but for the soul and mind as well. If you are familiar with martial arts you will find my workouts complimentary to strengthening the body and spirit on your journey in whatever martial art you are doing. If you are not familiar with any martial arts, they are still great workouts and they might spark your interest and serve as an exciting introduction to this vast and fascinating world.
I began this project to motivate myself with my own videos (very narcissistic thing to do) to workout and learn more about the various martial arts. Hopefully you too will find these videos a kick up your ass and get fit. Kill the laziness in you! Get cracking!
